The last two are not normally covered in any books that I have read so that information is most useful.I also appreciated the information on the plants that have medicinal properties. And, also which bugs one could eat if need be for survival. I learned that pine needle tea is full of Vitamin C! It also covers a pit house and a tree pit and the manner in which to build them. The 5 gallon bucket kit is also explained in detail.
Most highly recommended.

Basic Prepper stuff to help one generate ideas. I enjoyed the sections on water storage and edible insects. Less than a handful of incorrectly used words.

Not overly impressed
I liked the book for its simple approach to survival. It was all easy to understand and relate to. There are a few errors in grammar or wording but you are able to figure out what the author is talking about.
Hey, I'm a middle class suburban guy. I just don't have much interest in prepping. I may regret not doing much to prepare, but what the hey.
But went down hill fast. Good lists in the beginning,not great but good. After that it went down hill. Water treatment and storage information is old and outdated. Also leaves out a lot of options. Treatment for some of the medical issues covered are wrong and could kill the person. The author also seems to love eating bugs,but doesn't tell you everything you need to know.
It does a great job of covering the basics across a wide spectrum of topics. If you are just looking for an intro book this would be a good start. There are exceptions but there isn't a whole lot of details given in the majority of the topics. For example, Cattail sounds awesome for medical situations, but how do you prepare it. However you could use book as your guide to what you'll need to either learn or what how to books you'll going to need.
